Yay!!! Today's my big day! I'm one week old on March 14, 1996, and Mom and I are both well and strong enough to go home! I can't wait to meet my "fuzzy sisters"--the cats, Zoe and Tegan--but most of all I am excited that I'll finally get to see my beautiful room and my house, and the grass, and the sunshine, and.... Oh, boy! I can hardly contain myself! ("Oh, Mommmmmm-eeee! I got so excited that I think I need a new diiiiiia-per!)
Here I am all packed in my brand-new Snugli and ready to go! Mommy will be soooo proud to walk through the hospital with me in her arms... on the way out we're sure we'll see some of Mommy and Daddy's friends at Washington Hospital Center that they've gotten to know over the last nine months. Me? I think I'll just lay here in my Mommy-pack and take a snooze...
OOOO-WEEE! It sure is bright out here! It's hard to believe that just one week ago on the night I was born that Grandma, Grandpa, Nonno, and Nonna had a hard time getting home because of a snowstorm! And today it is a balmy 72 degrees. Just the kind of weather every new baby girl should have when she's welcomed home!
