Hi, I'm Vicky. This is my first web page, and I'm really glad you
could stop by to check it out!
My interests are kids, exercise, reading, arts, crafts, and studying. I returned to school
about 9 years ago in an attempt to change careers. I recently returned to school on-line in an attempt to attain my BSN. My ultimate goal at this time is a MSN, but who knows how long it will take at the rate I'm going. I'm
pleased to announce that I FINALLY received my ADN in May of 2002 (with honors, I might add). In fact,
check this out . . .
I think this is so cool! This may seem an insignificant task to many, but to me it is quite an accomplishment. I became a single parent shortly after starting college to pursue a mid-life career change. There were many times that it would have been easier to quit school, but thanks to the support of my family, friends, and my employer, I was able to continue. And who knows...maybe one of these days I might have 17 seconds to update this page a bit more. It sure needs some work. I have been incredibly LAZY!!!!
But anyway, check this out too:
I was quite honored to receive this, as well!
Meet my family:
Dannie, Sherry, and Scott (the mom-looking person is me)
These are from some of our vacations. We like to visit our place "up north" and we also enjoy amusement parks. The train photo was taken at Kings Island, which is high on our list of favorite places to visit.
And here I am in all my nerdiness as the honors graduate . . .
And introducing . . . . Spotty, our evil cat!
Here are Spotty's new friends, Maui . . . and Simba . . .
Maui is still with us, but Simba had to leave us for the "kitty rehabilitation institute" also known as VCA Animal Hospital due to going into respiratory and cardiac arrest after having some minor surgery. Dr. Sheehy and her staff took wonderful care of him there. Simba has come a long way, but we are unable to care for him at home because he's forgotten what a litter box is for; or perhaps his vision is so bad that he can't see exactly where he needs to go. Regardless, he is such a sweet kitty and we miss him a lot (and always will), but we know he's being well cared for. He's moved on to the Guardian Angel Animal Rescue, and we understand that he is happy and loved there. Besides that, we know that "Aunt Betty" loves him very much and is looking out for him.
