I was inspired to write this, by personal experience. Lately, I have not had the time I would like to spend preparing my bird's foods. Everything has to be done last minute now. All of these recipes require 1 hour of time or less, and can be stored in the freezer, for use later. Also, all of these recipes are safe for hookbills, and are salt and sugar free.Note: Never offer your bird any foods which contain-caffeine, chocolate, avacado, alcohol, rhubarb, sugars(either granular or powdered), sweeteners(nutra-sweet type), or salt. These can make your bird sick, ending in a big vet bill or the death of your pet.
Assorted pastas-wagon wheels, ABC's, etc.
Minute Rice,
Vegetables-grated carrots, corn, broccoli pieces, chopped cauliflower, spinach, sweet potatoes, cucumber, etc.
Instead of vegetables, you can also use baby food, assorted flavors. Chicken and veal ones are even good to use.
Directions:
Cook pasta and rice thoroughly. Drain pasta, rinse with cool water and add to rice. If vegetables aren't chopped, diced or grated, do so now. Then add veggies to pasta and rice. If using a jar of baby food, add now. Allow mixture to cool. Once it has cooled, serve to your birds. Storage containers-tupperware type or ziplock bags. Can be stored for up to 1 year, safely.
