William Jennings Bryan McAnally Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday for William Jennings Bryan McAnally who died of a heart attack while hunting near Gunnison, Colorado. Mr. McAnally was born January 1, 1896 in Yell County, Arkansas to Bill (William) and Molly Gibson McAnally. The family moved to Oklahoma before it's statehood. He was educated at Ada, Oklahoma where he attended East Central State Teacher's College. He married the former Viola Balthrop on October 3, 1915. He has been a resident of the Colorado Springs area 37 years and was employed by the Prudential Insurance Company for 18 years before retiring in 1941. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Avenue Nazarene Church and was active in church affairs. He was a member of the Board of Pioneers of the Nazarene Church for the establishment of new churches in Colorado and was instrumental in establishing the church of which he was a member. He is survived by his wife, Viola; a daughter, Kathleen Greiner and a son, Winford J. McAnally; three grandchildren, Jeffrey and Stanley McAnally and Marilyn Greiner, three sisters, Ethel Scott, Ida Smith, Agnes Prough and one brother C. Leonidas McAnally. |
