"GOING, GOING, GONE . . . "
A MYSTERY SAFARI THROUGH THE ZOO



October & November 1998; April & May 1999


Take a unique journey through the Zoo . . .
Solve a conservation mystery . . .
And collect your very own red panda scout patch . . .


Scouts of all ages will embark on a story safari led by the imaginary Professor I. Bis: scientist, world traveler, and conservationist. During their journey with the Professor, scouts will visit with and learn about the amazing animals that share our world. They'll find the answers to these questions and many more:

"Going, Going Gone . . ." Classes
On Saturdays and Sundays in October, November, and April, scouts may attend a special classroom program to complement their safari through the Zoo. Through the use of live animals, artifacts, and activities, the scouts will learn about the importance of conservation to both animals and humans. (This class is not available in May.)

When scouts leave the Zoo . . .
At the end of a great safari and a fun day at the Zoo, your scouts will be enlightened about conservation issues and proud to receive their very own, exclusive Zoo scout patch!

"GOING, GOING, GONE . . . "
A MYSTERY SAFARI THROUGH THE ZOO




Complete and return the registration form at least three weeks in advance of your selected date. Please return it with FULL payment to the Zoo as listed. A minimum group size of ten people is required to receive the discounted advance sale rate. (This includes scouts, scout leaders, and guests.)

Upon receipt of your completed registration form and payment in full, you will receive a scouting packet that includes:

  1. Safari trail maps for each participating scout.
  2. Two scout leader maps.
  3. Scout patches.
  4. Zoo admission tickets.
  5. A confirmation letter for admission, time, and location of your classroom (if participating in the classroom program).

You may participate in the "Going, Going, Gone . . ." Mystery Safari any day in October and November 1998 or April and May 1999.

Specific date and time reservations are required for the "Going, Going, Gone . . ." classroom program. It is held on Saturdays and Sundays in the months of October and November 1998 and April 1999 only.

Scout patches are FREE to all paid scouts participating in the Salute to Scouts program and for two leaders per reservation. All members, adults, and guests who desire a patch can purchase one for $ 1.00 per patch.

Members wishing to participate in this program may use their valid membership i.d. cards to gain admission to the Zoo with their scout troop/pack. These admission privileges are limited to members and their families only. Guest privileges cannot be extended to other scouts or adults. The Zoo reserves the right to charge admission to anyone who is misrepresented by membership privileges.

Registration for the "Going, Going, Gone . . ." program must be received with your reservations and must be booked at least three weeks prior to your scheduled event date.

Please note: Talking Storybook Keys are recommended but not required to complete the safari.

Total purchase of ten (10) or more tickets are required for advance sale group rates:
Child (ages 2-11) $4.50 per ticket
Adult (ages 12 and older) $6.50 per ticket



Purchase of less than ten (10) tickets:
Child (ages 2-11) $6.00 per ticket
Adult (ages 12 and older) $8.50 per ticket



Talking Storybook Key Order:
Storybook keys and key laces are $2.50 each (Minimum of 10)



Patch Order:
FREE paches for paid Scouts participating plus two free leader patches.
ADDITIONAL patches area available for $1.00 per patch.



"Going, Going, Gone . . ." Classroom Program Reservation:(Space is limited)
