What am I doing?
I am a mom of five children. That statement in itself is a loaded one, only those with children could possibly understand.
I find great joy in being the mom. I am very thankful I'm not the dad (Brad Bannister (class of '81) - married 15 years). I still like him, most of the time!!! He is a phone man, I get regular service, and sometimes even all my phones work!!! Good luck getting thru though, with teenagers, they usually have it tied up with the internet or the old fashioned phone line. No, I don't have call waiting or any of that fancy stuff like two phone lines.
I have a cleaning service which I enjoy immensly. I get money for it and am appreciated (plus I don't have to watch the finished product get messed up again!). I can also work when I want and call in sick when I want.
We had a bait shop and I used to baby-sit and we had taken care of rental properties. I learned I will never have rental properties when I grow up.
We also have purchased our Home in Rome. It is a 100+ year old victorian farm house on the river that has not been worked on in a long while. We are trying to do one room at a time- stripping and sanding (all the wood work was painted). We are restoring it or trying to, in our spare time. I haven't done a whole lot on it since our last baby was born two years ago.
Imagine that. We have begun the whirlwind of entering into the teen years and I am sorry but I am not old enough to have a teenager! Drew is 14, Jordan is 12, Ivy is 11, Levi is 8, and Faith is 2. and no, neither of us have been cut so #6 is always possible but 5 is fine.
That is it for my update. It isn't glamorous but it is full of the things that are important to me. I am rich with Love and I have invested that love for a return of at least 5 times what I have put out.
I hope to hear from ya.
