AQUILLA GILBERT

quilla gilbert was born in Harford Co. Maryland in the year of 1758. He married Pricilla Gallion in 1781 in Harford Co. Some other records indicate the marraige date as 1778 or 1780. their oldest son Mordecai was born in 1882 in Harford Co. but their other children were born in Campbell Co. Virginia so the family moved to Virginia in about 1783 and stayed there till about 1811-1812. Their other children were Jacob, Aquilla, William, and Harriet.

here is reason to believe Pricilla died about 1805 in Virginia and that Aquilla remarried and had three more children by his second wife. According to his will in Breckenridge Co. Kentucky he left three orphan children who were born 1810-1813.
