In South Africa we are used to having a "Skaapbraai" for Christmas, sunshine, beaches, swimming etc etc. New Yorkers think you're crazy!
It was cold and mom made me walk for hours
using the excuse it will warm me up - meantime she wanted to look at all the beautifull lights and stuff!
She even made me sit on Christmas Fathers' lap....YUCK!!
