The Vatican You can spend hours on this site. The Holy Father, Pope John Paul II, has spoken favorably about Medjugorje on a number of occasions. He agrees with the decision of the Episcopal Council of Former Yugoslavia that it is a Sanctuary - a holy place worthy of pilgrimage and the support of the local ordinary, Bishop of Mostar-Duvno. If he were not Pope, he would go there.
