I know there
are some of you who want to give your loved one a wonderful gift of warm
fuzzy love with a puppy or a kitten for Christmas. Before you do,
please make sure the commitment it there to take care of him or her.
It breaks our hearts to have to go back to a shelter or be ignored or even
worse dumped on the side of the road.
I'll have to admit I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful family. There are so many pets in animal shelters, on the streets and in miserable homes where their people don't give them proper medical treatment, housing or just let them have litter after litter. You know, dogs have been with humans ever since creation, and we've been happy to be loyal companions. We work, hunt and play with you, and we enjoy being being a part of your lives. My people believe that God put us together for Man's benefit, BUT it's Man's job to take care of us. I wish all pet owners took that responsibility seriously.
Don't get me wrong! Puppies and kittens are fine if breeding is done responsibly, but the truth is most of us are happier without those little critters chasing after us. In fact that's how I ended up in the animal shelter. The people who had me before kept my babies and took ME to the shelter! The happy ending to the story is what you'll see on this site! So just sit back click and enjoy!
