Jesse BUTTLE

Jesse was born on 28th November 1847 and christened on 6th December 1847 in Lyng, Norfolk, England as the illegitimate son of Harriet BUTTLE. On his marriage certificate he says he is the son of William BUTTLE (deceased), a Bricklayer.

Jesse married Amy Williams FAUX on the 24th August 1881 at the Register Office, Norwich. At the time of his marriage Jesse was a Bricklayer living at The Wellington Public House, Wellington Lane, Saint Giles. Witnesses to the marriage were John Wells and Hannah Maria Howes.

In later years, around the time of his daughter Beatrice's marriage, Jesse was a News Agent living in Frettenham, Norwich, England.

Amy Williams FAUX

Amy was born in Pottergate St, St Gregory, Norwich in the county of Norfolk, England on the 18th April 1864. She was the daughter of Charles Warren FAUX, a Chelsea Out Pensioner, and Mary Ann WILLIAMS.

At the time of her marriage in 1881, Amy was living in Wellington Lane, Saint Giles, Norfolk.

This picture was sent to her daughter Beatrice with the message "Love from Mother to Babs"

Jesse BUTTLE and Amy Williams FAUX had the following children:

1 Charles William BUTTLE born 1882 in Elsing, Norfolk, England.

2 Florence BUTTLE born 1884

3 Jesse James BUTTLE born 1887 in Lyng, Norfolk, England.

4 Beatrice Amy BUTTLE born 26 July 1892 in Drayton, Norfolk, England.
