Take out the blindness, show a little kindness, evolve up the ladder, get conscious-- ANIMALS MATTER!!

To begin, My reasons for not eating meat may be more extreme than anyone you will ever encounter. I am simply convicted to the fight for animal rights and will defend them until my dying day. If I don’t show conviction to this cause, who else is going to? Someone has to speak for god's creatures who cannot speak for themselves. Moreso as to why I wouldnt touch meat is the fact that the only person in this entire world that I have control over is myself..any changes I hope to make in this world have to start with me. By not eating meat I like to think that I am making a very small but meaningful difference against animal suffering. Many will challenge my convictions with stupid comebacks but the bottom line if everyone in this world would pick a cause that they care about and stand by it to great extents the world would be a better place.

Knowledge is power so I intend this page to be chuck full of grade A 100% knowledge in defense of animals. BEWARE, things are going to get graphic from here on out. My conviction started when I was a little girl after my Mom passed on her knowledge to me about the meat industry. In order to survive, when she was in her 20’s she had to work in a “packen house” for a very brief time in order to pay the hospital bills of her dying husband. It was called a packen house in the 30’s (probably to disguise what goes on inside)…but now called exactly what it is, a slaughterhouse. She told me of the horror she saw within those walls. Although she did not actually witness or commit the slaughtering, she was responsible for cleaning up the heads and tails of cows that came down her chute after being chopped off. The tails would have to be “caught” because they came off conscious animals, still having movement to them and the expressions on the faces of the cows as they came down to her tormented her for the rest of her life. She also told me what she knew of pigs and hot-dogs. Although she never stopped eating meat the way many people see it as difficult, she told me the truth and allowed me to make my own choice from a very young age and I decided not eat meat. She cooked me vegetables and never forced meat on me up until the day she died. She did a wonderful thing that I highly admire and plan to do the same for my own children someday. My convictions have gotten stronger sense I was a little girl. When I see a piece of meat today I view it no differently than if my own beautiful dog were just slaughtered and people are standing in line waiting to pay pennies to devour her. It makes me sick and ashamed to be a member of the humane race. I would honestly rather starve than eat my own dog or any other mammal close to her.

In short, I am not trying to tell anyone what to do, people are going to do what they please. I just want to present TRUE facts and information the way my mother did for me. My goal is to simply make one of the largest informative animal abuse pages able to be found online besides PETA which is the best and my favorite...and sign enough guest books and join enough web rings to get the word out strongly enough to make A DIFFERENCE. I would be happy with just one difference that I made in a meat eater after he or she read the information presented on my site. I feel like I HAVE to do this if not for myself but for a certain cow and pig that that were told about during an interview with two slaughterhouse employees speaking about their work. The following is what each of them had to say:

INTERVIEW: "One time the knocking gun (NOTE: Knocking Gun: object similar to a nail shooting gun but the nail does not go anywhere, is shot into the head of a horse, cow or pig. It is suppose to go into brain, crushing the skull and killing animal quickly) was broke all day, they were taking a knife and cutting the back of the cow's neck open while he's still standing up. They would just fall down and be shaking. And they stab cows in the butt to make 'em move. Break their tails. They beat them so bad. I've drug cows till their bones start breaking, while they were still alive. Bringing them around the corner and they get stuck up in the doorway, just pull them till their hide be ripped, till the blood just drip on the steel and concrete. Breaking their legs pulling them in. And the cow be crying with its tongue stuck out. They pull him till his neck just pop."

INTERVIEW:...about violence toward animals leading to human violence and complete desensitization: "It's the same thing with an animal who pisses you off, except it is in the stick pit, you are going to kill it. Only you don't just kill it, you go in hard, push hard, blow the windpipe, make it drown in its own blood. Split its nose. A live hog would be running around the pit. It would just be looking up at me and I'd be sticking, and I would just take my knife and -- eerk -- cut its eye out while it was just sitting there … One time I took my knife -- it's sharp enough -- and I sliced off the end of a hog's nose, just like a piece of bologna … I took a handful of salt brine and ground it into his nose … I stuck the salt right up the hog's ass … It's not anything anyone should be proud of … It was my way of taking out frustration."

Below are the reasons why I feel EVERYTHING free of animal products is best:

1. Try understanding that meat is not healthy. I have statistics out the wazzo indicating that meat is bad for you!! That makes meat eating much more dangerous than smoking cigarettes and there are warnings left and right telling people not to do that.

2. Milk is loaded with the crap they stick in cows to fatten them up along with other drugs and should not be given to babies for at least the first two years of their lives because their immune systems are only set up to handle what is NATURAL! In additiion, few people know the truth of milk. They think the cow MUST give us milk or she will explode. Nobody thinks about how humans constantly keep her pregnant and reproducing to get her milk INTENTED FOR HER YOUNG, steal her calf after birth, send her scared and innocent calf to slaughter (so rich people can eat VEAL and wear expensive leather!) and then when the milking cow can birth and reproduce no more she is rewarded by not a trip out to pasture but a truckride right behind her baby to the slaughter house! It is a very sad and vicious cycle. You learn somthing everyday dont ya?

3. Compassion. Without a little compassion the would be a scary place! Animals are brutally tortured from the time they are born to end up on your plates. Lets check out some stories and pictures…if you can handle the truth. If you have ever thought that animals are stupid and it is OK for people to slaughter them to go on their plates, you are kidding yourself. Just because a cow cannot FIGHT BACK right before he is slaughtered by no means makes him stupid!

4. Moral and religious reasons. It always gets me how religious people can preach so strongly and then sit down to a meal and devour god’s creatures. If I am not mistaken the bible tells us “THOU SHALT NOT KILL” and “DO ONTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE DONE UNTO YOURSELF”. No, neither of these commandments has the words MAN ONLY in them! No, you are not actually killing the animal, but by purchasing and consuming what was slaughtered you are keeping the industry alive and covering your eyes as to how that meat actually got on your plate!

5. The meat market has and always will be sneaky. A lot of what we eat and put on ourselves are animal products that we would never be able to recognize because the FDA creates complex words to disguise what the product actually is. Did you know that marshmallows, ice cream and some candies have pig fat in them? Or that chapstick is made up of whale and shark sperm? Did you know birth control and menopausal drugs have PREMARIN in them? It’s an extract taken from the urine of pregnant female horses. Female horses who are KEPT pregnant their entire lives with a catheter up in her sucking out her pee, her babies go to slaughter after birth and then she is soon to follow after she can no longer reproduce. The only reason I know is because of this glossary I found.

Please do the right thing and take what is presented on this page into consideration. Remember, knowledge is power and together we can do something about this!!!
