AN ADVENTURE PROGRAM FOR BOYS
Royal Rangers is a ministry to boys, sponsored by the Assemblies of God, which strives to meet their moral, spiritual, and physical needs. From its beginning over 30 years ago, the Royal Rangers ministry has now spread around the world and boys from nearly 50 countries have joined in the fun and adventure. In the United States, Royal Rangers has enjoyed the reputation as one of the fastest growing boys' organizations in the country. The Royal Ranger ministry is divided into five age groups for boys ages 5 through 17. Throughout the program, boys are taught Bible studies, campcraft, toolcraft, and other skills. Royal Rangers is a ministry to reach, teach, and keep boys and girls for Jesus Christ. It was started in the Assemblies of God as a ministry to boys, but it has spread to many other churches. It began in the USA, but has grown to many nations all over the world. We seek to introduce children to Jesus Christ. We do this by teaching from and memorizing portions of the Holy Bible and by being led by the Holy Spirit. We have the Royal Ranger pledge, code, and motto. Children learn leadership by working on advancements appropriate to their age group. Some even earn the Gold Medal of Acheivement, which is comparable to (and maybe a bit tougher to earn than) the BSA Eagle Scout. The goal of Royal Rangers is to reach, teach, and keep our boys for Jesus Christ.
The Straight Arrow program features an Indian theme, a favorite emphasis for boys at this age level. Straight Arrows will follow trails of exciting adventures in games, nature study, crafts, ceremonies and day outings. Best of all, they will be guided along the trial of Bible study and Christian living. The name "Straight Arrow" is an Indian term meaning a person who lives a straight, honorable life.
