What is a midi? MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface. Basically it allows just about anybody with a computer and sound card to write their own song or alter another song and then conduct an entire orchestra in playing in it. The MIDI's only downfall is that it can not synthesize voices singing words. However it opens an entire new world to the amature musician, student or just plain lover of music.
