Welcome to the biographical corner of my cave...

  P.O.W. # 010 :     The only stupid question
  is the unasked question.

As I wrote earlier, I have spent my life helping others. In recent years, I have had to "narrow" the scope of those I am willing to help. I used to expend a lot of energy helping just for the sake of helping. It took quite awhile to figure out that a large amount of the energy was wasted on "stupid" people. Before your face freezes in that expression you are wearing now, read on. I differentiate between "ignorance" and "stupidity":
And I recently made the distinction that "dumb" is defined as having trouble learning, but does not necessarily mean that learning is an impossible task.

I have never let someone get away with trying to blow-off learning something new with the lame excuse, "I'm too stupid." You have to *prove* to me that you are stupid, and there is only one way to do it: demonstrate to me your reluctance to learn. When this is the case, **I** have learned to just walk away and not waste any more energy that would be better spent on someone who chooses to respect both themselves and me.

Harsh? No, just Plain, Pure and Simple™. One of my many mottos. I am quite straightforward in such matters. Since I am likely to just speak my mind at any given moment, if I am not saying it or talking about it, I am more-than-likely not even conceptualizing it, let alone thinking about it. I am not suggesting that I am without deep, pondering moments, but when I am engaged with discoursing with someone, I am usually there in the moment. I have long-since stopped censoring myself before even speaking (took too much energy) so what you get is rather raw, straight-from-the-hip.
