Every day something monumental seems to happen. A chapter that I've fretted about for years and years comes to a close.
I picked up the final mix and paid Outpost after work. Those guys did a super job. Well worth every penny. Walking out into the rain I felt this weight suddenly lifted off my shoulders, a weight that I wasn't even aware was there. How will the sound work out for my movie? What format should I use? What equipment to rent, purchase? Should I blimp the camera? What music should I use? And on and on literally for 10 years now. All reduced to three little DATs. Better than I could have possibly imagined. Finished. Next.
After this big bit of cheer I went over to VFA to work out what needed to happen to get the reels ready for conforming the negative. Everything looks like it will work out well. I'll be working with Skip later this week to patch the reels and begin the online. We'll see how much we can finish then schedule another day to finish it off. The only sticky part for the online looks to be the credits, but I think we can sort that out without too much trouble. I'll need to bring over:
Bringover List:
I'll need to rent a car.
The rest of the current todo list:
Agenda:
I should also start looking into more film festivals, both U.S. and abroad.
