Friday the 13th, indeed. Turns out the complex is adamant about the fee they quoted me. It's crazy. There's no way we're going back there.
Scrounged up another location for the batting cage. Not ideal, but it will work. And we can shoot Carol's coaching speeches up at Cordonices or at Clark Kerr. Meanwhile we've got to bust this batting cage sequence since I've got about 12 young girls and parents showing up at my place around noon.
Just heard from Monaco. Guess there are problems with the sound logs and the first DAT has no absolute time. To compound the situation the camera roll numbers are out of sequence. Either Alpha Cine put them in the wrong boxes, or they got transferred wrong at Monaco. I guess Dave could have put them in the wrong boxes to begin with. But I doubt that. At any rate it's nothing that can't be overcome, but it's real hard to deal with right this second, being in the middle of production. I'll need to speak to the syncer some more this afternoon.
Began filming scenes 10 and 25 at what I thought was an ideal, isolated location. Then all hell broke loose. It appears the ball diamond wasn't on Berkeley city property after all, but on UC property. We promptly were kicked off. Worst thing is that today is the day with all he extras (and parents.) At least we got off one take. Should have gone to Cordonices right away. No hassles there and the scenery was much better than at that other place. If only I had time to think, instead of just react.
One day I will 1) sleep, 2) eat something.
