Got up early this morning to drop off Sam and the boys at the ABQ shuttle in downtown Santa Fe. Then I went back and slept until almost 11:00.
Today is a rest day, as all Mondays have been the last few weeks. It probably would be best to finish up first and rest tomorrow, but we really only have one shot to do. We can shoot it on Old Turquoise Trail on our way down to Albuquerque tomorrow.
Liz and Katy have gone shopping while Dave, Heather and I set out to find some waterfall that an acquaintance of Dave's told him about. I would prefer to do some B roll shooting, but I have the camera with me. You often find the most interesting B roll stuff when you're not looking for it.
Found the waterfall in question and hung out there until about 5:30 or so. Stuck without a phone I didn't have an opportunity to call Maureen until 7:00, too late for her to plan to meet us in Chimayo. Unfortunate, but that's the way it goes. Went to Chimayo anyway and sat out on the patio. I think Heather and Dave really enjoyed it. I can't really relax until I get everyone back safe and sound and finish what I started. And who knows when that will be?
Katy - What a great actress, a director's dream. I'll have to write my next screenplay with her in mind. She'll be a bright star someday.
Tomorrow is travel day, and I simply must get back to Albuquerque by 2. I made plans to hang out with Julie and Randy for a few hours so I've got to whip everyone into shape and keep on schedule.
