Dropped off the NM DAT and sound logs for syncing to Monaco. Had a nice conversation with the lab people to make sure I'll have everything I need in the event of conforming the original negative. It's looking more and more like the Avid Film Composer is the way to go, although, I need to have a conversation with a technician to see if the Media 100 will be able to fit the bill.
VHS dubs may be ready the night of the 11th. It would be nice to get the dubs so I can show them at the wrap party. I'm a little leery of showing them to the principals until we finish all the principal photography. I'll have to think about that some more.
The Eclair is ready to be picked up. I should have had it serviced before shooting, but it seemed to be working fine. It all worked out, though. Except for the shooting at the hotel in San Francisco, it held up well. Still it would have been one less hassle. Live and learn (and I've certainly done both the last few months.)
I'd like to start B roll shooting this weekend. Maybe the sunsest scene time lapse with the Bolex. Then come Monday when I pick up the Eclair I can continue, making sure it's working okay before the shoot the weekend of the 26th.
