Finally saw the footage we shot in New Mexico. Funny how specific the camera is. There for 4 days busting butt, but the camera only captures what it sees when running.
Visually I'm happy with what we got. I wish we had moved farther off road, since some of the sound is pretty noisy, especially the restaurant and overlook scenes. But I've heard wonders done in post, so we can work with it. Last resort would be ADR, which could work as well. The overlook scene has to be quiet, since it's one of the most intimate moments in the film.
At any rate I'm eager to finish the rough edit. But I have no time for it right now. Have to organize this weekend's shoot. A lot of the initial crew members are working on another project right now, so I'll have to scramble to ensure we have enough people. And it's Tuesday: Time's ticking away.
Alpha Cine received the film I sent yesterday and will ship it back tomorrow. I should get it by Thursday in time to send it to Monaco for the transfer Friday. Then I can view it before Saturday's shoot.
