August 04, 1997 - Let's finish the filming, already

The plan, Stan, is to finish filming on Saturday, August 16th. This includes the studio sound stuff and all of Sam and Katy (17B, 18A, 24J, 24'A, 28B, 41A). I'd like to get Katy in and out in 3-4 hours. Sam will be longer, possibly 10 hours. But it's imperative to get it done in one day.

I should shoot the remainder of the B roll footage the weekend of the 9th. Every sunny, fog-free day on the coast makes me anxious. I feel I should be filming. Once I get it all shot I'll be able to sleep nights. (Sure...)

So for the weekend of the 16h I'll need the hostess tray, the picture car and Keno lights for the car. I can get by with the lighting I have for scene 24J.

For this weekend I'll need to make sure I have the resources for the B roll stuff, most notably a car. The picture car would be nice to shoot the stationary car shot at Pacifica (33D). I can use whatever rental I have for shot 33F. That would mean I'd need to have some help, unless I really plan on driving two cars at the same time. I should call theaters tomorrow and see if I can set up the fake marquis. Maybe UC theater would let me do it on Sunday evening. That would be ideal.
