Monday, December 08, 1997 - Those Long, Lonely Nights

Stayed up forever over the weekend trying to sort out what I have left to do. But I came up with a decisive list: The List

• View rough cut with an eye for 1) final edit decisions, 2) Wild track needed, and 3) Places to put music.
• Follow up on music source leads
• Prepare next round of film festival applications
• Schedule edit time with Zachary
• Determine where to do final sound mix, schedule time.

I spent Sunday evening going through the rough cut. I had some good ideas to resolve the time sequence problems in the 2nd part of the film. It will require trimming some of the dialogue that I really like, but it's a worthwhile sacrifice if it makes for a stronger film, no?

Recorded some music with a friend that I think may fit in nicely in a place or two. Ever heard Ave Maria on sliding trombone? See the movie...
