Resorted to renting a car today. That's my best bet for getting this done. Can't believe I still have wild track concerns to take care of. I should have handled all of that ages ago. But it's not too bad. Of more concern is the music situation. I need to sit down and figure out what the minimum is I can get by with. I'm not that far off. It would be nice to be able to do this at my leisure, and to really blend in the music with the basic fiber of the film. But that's not what low-budget filmmaking is about. The sparseness actually lends itself well to the nature of the film. It's good not to get carried away, as if I have to worry about that!
Tonight I'll cruise up to the city, buy Beta stock, go grab something to eat (very important) then go to VFA for one of the final editing rounds. There are a few things that will be missing, wild track-wise. I'll need to address all of that, as well as the music, this weekend, schedule a final edit, then hand it off to Karen for sound balance.
