  • Tanya Donelly
  • Gail Greenwood
  • Chris Gorman
  • Tom Gorman
  • Tanya Donelly's new solo career is covered in new pages accessible from the main page. You'll find everything that was here, there, and then some!

Gail Greewood has joined up with her buddy, Bif Naked! ( Thanks Scotty! ) She's still working on Benny Sizzler, so don't worry. Gail had parted from L7 due to geographic reasons: L7 is based in Los Angeles and she is based in Rhode Island, 3000 miles away. The logistics, unfortunately, didn't work out. ( Gail says, "that commute got old!" ;) Gail will be concentrating on her next musical venture, playing guitar with her new band Benny Sizzler, which Gail says is "so much fun and so much rock". L7 will release their new album, "Slap-Happy" on August 24, 1999 on their own label, "Wax Tadpole Records", with a tour to follow. Gail was in the studio to record that album with L7. She joined L7 [official site] ( or HelL7 or L7 Rocks! [fan sites] ) as their new bass guitarist after Belly broke up.

I was lucky enough to see her play at the Hollywood Palladium (May 8, 1997), the Whisky A-Go-Go (October 10, 1997), The Barn (March 27, 1998), Linda's Doll House (March 28, 1998), The Garage (March 29, 1998), the El Rey Theatre (April 23, 1998) [see archive/L7], The Whisky A-Go-Go (March 26, 1999) and The Foothill (March 27, 1999). Oh yeah! ;)

  • Chris Gorman is currently pursuing his photography career, though still keeping active in music. He produced graphic design for the new 4AD band Polara. Perhaps with v23, the design studio that produced all the Belly covers? ( Thanks Kim! ) He also provided images for The Old 97's. ( Thanks Scott Steg! ) Musically, he was working with Scarce's Chick Graning and Fred Abong ( formerly of Throwing Muses and early Belly ). The new band is called Lost Rockets. Christopher Cugini of Delta Clutch was producing the demos. Due to Chick's pursuit of a solo career, Lost Rockets has fallen by the wayside.

Songs from Honeychrome will be re-recorded and some new songs will be introduced on a yet un-named project involving Chris Gorman. The sound will be more organic alternative with alternative country. Tom had debut his new band, Honeychrome, at the end of January 1999. He rocked on bass with Kristin Hersh for a few shows in 1999. He was rocking with Buffalo Tom on keyboard and guitar.

  • Doug Slawin (Dslawin@smhosp.chime.org) reports: December 23, 1998

Tom Gorman former guitarist of Belly is debuting his new band - Honeychrome. The band consist of Tom, vocalist Heather Balas, and Dylan Roy [who guested on Belly's "Trust In Me" on the Feed The Tree EP (UK)] on bass. The band currently has an eight track demo which they are shopping to record labels. The demo was recorded at Tom's home studio and is mixture of sophisticated pop with electronic elements.

The band will be playing a small "warm-up" type show, Saturday January 30th @ Rudy's Cafe in New Haven, CT in preparation more extensive touring.

Also performing will be The Rays- a local female fronted post-punk and ethereal pop band featuring Lauren Fay formerly on Interscope.

New Haven is a short train ride from NYC. Just a little over an hour. Anyone interested can email Doug with the address above.
