Tanya at the Amnesty International Benefit in Arlington, MA March 13, 1998
Laura reports:
...So who was extremely surprised to see Tanya's new short hairdo? I sure was. I felt honored to be able to see her perform again though. I think the most surprising detail of the night was the fact that she had the full band playing in this big church room complete with a balcony section. It was a sight I never thought I'd see! I had been all prepared for a nice cozy solo acoustic performance but was blown away at the band's slightly different and more campy versions of some Lovesongs tunes. She opened with The Bees, which always sounds wonderful, and then she went into Acrobat, followed by her more upbeat songs. Then it was back to mellow and beautiful as she finished her set with Manna. I really hope that this won't be the last time I ever hear that song live...
