Tanya at The Boardwalk in Manchester, UK September 18, 1997
Stew reports: Well, Tanya & the gang excelled themselves tonight, it was just brilliant!
Here's what they played:
Acrobat
I was right up front just to the left, as the stage is only about 5-6 metres wide, I was pretty close to everyone. Tanya looked nice:)
I shot a roll of film off, but as the lighting was pretty dim I'm not sure if they'll come out. I was using fast film as opposed to flash. I guess I'll found out tomorrow.
After the gig I went round the back of the building & waited, after a bit three other guys turned up, she was really gonna be mobbed tonight eh;) After about an hour she came out to get on her bus & we got the chance to grab a few autographs / photo's.
It's funny, coz I was totally dumb struck, I didn't know what to say! I sorta handed her the CD & pen I'd brought for her to do the honours. When she asked me my name, I introduced myself in a shy sorta way. Anyway, one of the other guys took a photo of me getting a grip of her, so at least I'll have a momento of my two minutes with T!
I was going to ask her about the last track but in the heat of the moment I forgot, who's song is it a cover of, I can't place it?
The CD I got for the event has Tanya on track #1 doing Landspeed Song. There are fiften tracks altogether, the inlay has a bit of info on each artist/band & some pictures, Tanya being one of'em.
See ya'....Stew
P.S. I'll be dreaming about a real angel tonight:)
