Notting Hill
Starring: Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts

Movie info:
Romantic movie about a world famous Hollywood starlet falling in love with an ordinary British bloke..you know, the type love to drink tea and reads books and says stuff like "classic!" or "bugger".(No! not Austin Powers)

My 2 cents worth:
Okay, I have to come clean here..I hate Julia Roberts.  Look at the mouth! Check out the teeth!! Don't she look like a Velociraptor?  And Hugh Grant...isn't his last big hit the one which he went to look for a hooker even though his girlfriend is incredibly sexy?..no wait..that's what happened in real life. Ouch. But wait a minute here...this movie acutally IS good!

What makes this movie appealing to me is the fact that its the entire cast of the movie is well...excellent.  I can't believe I'm gonna say this but Julia Roberts is good in this movie!Maybe its the fact that she is playing something close to real life...but somehow she makes the role interesting to watch. Hugh Grant is at his best when it comes to playing shy charming losers, this movie really reminds you why he got so popular after "Four weddings and a funeral" in the first place.  However the one who stole the entire show is actually Rhys Ifans who plays the character Spike.  I'm telling you whenever the lad appears there's bound to be laughter!  This is the guy to look out for in the movie.

Story wise, there isn't anything to explain because the plot is really very very simple.  If you can't get it...go watch the Teletubbies or something.

If you ask me, this is the movie to watch if you can't get any Star Wars tickets, or if you are going for a date movie. But don't you stop trying to queue for the Star Wars tickets now you hear me?

Rating:
$6.00 outta $7.00
