Ah, you have ventured into Kiara's Realm, have you? Brave soul! *evil grin*
Actually, Kiara is a character, primarily from a computer realm called FurryMuck. She can morph into an anthropomorphic panther, which was her form before she received the 'Dark Gift,' or she can become human (See my 'Tail' section for more details).
Kiara is a complicated character. She basks in the glory of being a vampire and yet she can not sever her ties to her human nature. The vampiress feeds only when she must, or as a sort of bonding ritual, but kills only when necessary, when provoked. She is involved in various complex plots and maintains a veil of secrecy concerning that aspect of her existence. You might also find her in other realms, such as talkers or other mucks. Search for her in the shadows, but be prepared for what you might find!
The Kiara drawings are a labor of love. It is difficult to convey one's vision to another using text alone. Mark and I have worked on bringing Kiara to the page for the past year now. He has patiently suffered through my vague gown sketches and countless revisions to produce a work of beauty. His incredible talent and my words have combined to create something that I envision as Kiara. I thank him for the drawing. It means more to me than I can adequately express.
My interest in vampires is confined to the imaginary realm. I adore the literature and I adore playing one. I enjoy the sophistication and the sensuality in such a creature. I devoured Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles and various and sundry stories that promote a similar vampiric vision. I am fascinated by stories displaying a depth of character, of emotion, not by those which concentrate on carnage.
