Review from the April 8, 1996 show at The Opera House in Toronto
Submitted by Shannon:
I just experienced 7 Year Bitch live two days ago at
the opera house here in T.O. It was definately the best concert i've ever
been to. They played a large variety from both Viva Zappata and Geta
Negro. I would have to say the high light of my night was actually
meeting and shaking Liz's hand. She stood right beside me so i turned and
introduced myself, she was so cool. I am so impressed by the new album i
can't stop listening to it. The girls showed so much energy this night.
It's obvious they are very into what the do, unlike so many other bands.
I feel this new album will definately give the girls alot more attention.
Not like the other albums don't deserve the same amount of recognition.
Although i feel now that they are sighed with the Atlantic label they
will go a long way. And that they should, since a band like 7 Year Bitch
who connects with each other deserves to be in the spotlight and push
some of the commersal plastic bullshit which is overcoming the music and
media business. A do have to say I am impressed by the attention
(although still small) that Rolling Stone has been given them. If you
haven't already seen that past R.S. W/ Bush X on the cover included
Selene on the Q and A page. It's about time my favorite band starts to
get the recognition they deserve. For anyone who has not bought they
albums or experienced the most energetic and immpresive concert. Please i
urge you plug in to 7 Year Bitch. Thanks for letting me express my views
to someone who feels the same way i do. Long Live the Energy of & Year
Bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
