Review from the April 21, 1996 show at The Cog Factory in Omaha
Submitted by Ben Thompson:
Last night, 7 Year Bitch's show at the Cog Factory, blew away everyone
in attendance. Even on a small stage, the band came alive with their music.
They were in top form and I can't imagine it getting much better than it was.
There were a few technical problems with Selene's mic. and one amp.
otherwise, the show was a huge success.
The band played for what seemed like 15 minutes but was actually
somewhere around an hour to a crowd of around 150. Straight off the bat,
Elizabeth's bass, wound a beautiful rhythm which the show centered around.
Selene's vocals were more revealing than I previously found. The way she
let her emotions go while onstage, while still staying with the music was truly
amazing.
I found this show to be my favorite of all time. The band was great to meet
and talk with afterwards. Elizabeth was pretty talkative while taking apart the
gear. Selene seemed a little winded afterwards, but still chatted with the fans
that decided to stick around. & Roisin and Valerie were also great to talk to.
I had been waiting about two years to see them, and can't wait to see them
again, they are not to be missed.
