Review from the May 2, 1996 show at Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco
Submitted by Todd Whitworth:
Seven Year Bitch played in San Francisco on Thursday
May 2nd at the Bottem of the Hill.
It is the 10th now and the buzz I got from the show
is just starting to fade.
I got there late so 7YB was the only bands set I saw.
The energy was alive and the crowd was in fits as
they got on stage.
They opend the set with Lorna which as we di-hard fans
all know was the bands first single.
Many people remarked to me on the fact that Selene
is such a peitit person.
Well let me tell you when she is on stage singing she is
10ft. tall.
The energy that was comeing from her this evening was
so intense that when I got locked in her gaze I had to look away.
The whole band played really well and were together that night.
There were only a couple of minor sound problems but
Lisa ( 7YB's sound engineer extrordinare.) was right on
the money.
The energy in the room was intense and so powerful I
almost got puched out the door by it.
The Set ended with Miss. Understood followed by
The Scratch as an encore.
I left with a natural high that lasted a week it was a
great time.
I have so much respect for the women in this band
The mucic and the lyrics are real. They strike a
cord in me that sometimes is like a punch in the gut
but that is a good thing. I love music that makes you think.
They have survived major tragedy and kept on going.
Now that they are signed with Adlantic there will be
no stopping them.
Heres to you Selene, Elizabeth,Valeire, and Roisin. You Fuckin ROCK. Don't stop the noise.
