Reviews from the July 16, 1996 show at The Boathouse in Norfolk

Submitted by Bryce:

Last July I got to see 7 Year Bitch on the Summerland tour, at the Boathouse in Norfolk, Virginia. I had been waiting to see them for about a year, and believe me I was very excited. There wasn't a very big crowd on hand for the Bitches but they absolutely rocked. They opened up their set with "Rest My Head", my personal favorite song because it has so much intensity. Other songs that night included "Crying Shame", "24,900 Miles", "Lorna", maybe "Miss Understood", I can't remember. But they closed with "The Scratch". "The Scratch" was obviously the only song most of the crowd had heard, which was dissapointing. The crowd was very calm doing the show, there wasn't much movement, and I remember the bouncers kicking people out of the show for crowd surfing!?! Anyways, the Bitches looked beautiful up there on stage. Selene was wearing a tight, short, black dress. And Elizabeth was wearing a Chicago Bulls basketball jersey. Valerie and Roisin, I can't remember, it's been a while, but they were gorgeous too. It was also a special day for Selene because it was her birthday! Overall, the Bitches played a hell of a show, and I can't wait to see them again. Spacehog kicked ass too!

I saw 7 year bitch on July 16, 1996 in Norfolk Va. The band played awesome as hell! Before they were on I saw this guy on stage tuning their guitars and he looked really familiar so I asked who he was and he said he was Billy their producer from Gato Negro. I asked him if their was any way we could meet the band and he said he could work something out so we found him later by a backstage enterance door and asked if he could get them to sign my vinyl. I could see the band watching Spacehog so he pointed me out and Selene, Val, and Roisin came over. First I talked with Selene and while we were talking Roisin was signing my vinyl. Selene was cool as hell and she asked me what my name was. Then Valerie came over and talked to me about stuff. I didn't get a chance to meet Elizabitch but I had fun. Anyway they fucking RRRRRUUUUUULLLLLLEEEEEE. Can't wait to hear the new album and see them again soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
