 We did it! The New York Yankees are World Series Champions! New York City Champions! Three-peat! I could go on and on. This was one awesome Series. The record may look lopsided at 4-1, but the Mets played hard, and every game was a nail-biter. I have lots of friends who are Mets fans, and we needed to win this so I could stand to be around them. Everybody was great, everybody contributed. And the final match-up, Rivera vs. Piazza... what else could you ask for? Derek Jeter was named MVP, although it could have easily gone to so many other Yanks. As Paul O'Neill said, "People may hate us, but we're winners."
