Well.......

It all started when I met 'Kitten' on the internet at

Alamak,a great chat site.

We got to know each other through chatting and e-mail. Then the phone-calls started. At this time, Katrina (Her real name) was living in Tasmania. I was living in Melb (and still am!) and one day, I got an e-mail saying that Katrina was moving to Brisbane. (A Long way from Tasmania, and Melbourne!) On her way to Brisbane, and after much planning, e-mails and phone calls, she dropped in to Melbourne so we could meet.

So there I was, waiting at Flinders St station, when I hear: "Wes??"

I turned around and said: "Katrina??"

Then the poxy music started and we walked into the depths of the city.

We wandered around for a while, then came across the State Library.

Now, when two netheads see a BIG library, what do they think of??

The NET!!!

So in we went. There was one of those booking sheets, and it was full, so we scrubbed out the geekiest name, (You know, like 'Florence' or 'Eugene' - No offence to people with those names!!) and jumped onto the terminal. Luckily, nobody came and tried to kick us off. We went to alamak and chatted to our net-mates. After this, we had a photo taken outside Melbourne Central.

To fill in some time, we boarded the free tram that circles the city. The Hard-Rock cafe was our first stop on the tram route. Saw heaps of unreal rock memorabilia. When the ride ended, we were both feeling a bit peckish. Katrina took this photo on the tram.

The CHEEZIEST grin on the net.
Following lunch, we went window shopping at Melbourne Central, then found one of those photo booths. We couldn't resist. Here they are!:

I was happy with these snaps, but Kat wasn't. Sooo...

....we did some more in COLOUR!!

We looked EVERYWHERE for a pair of scissors to separate the photos, then finally found some in a newsagent with the snobbiest attendent we have ever come across!

We wandered around the city a bit more, and found a cool music shop that sells CDs that cannot be bought in the shops any more. They also sell New and Second-hand stuff. Katrina bought a Prodigy single.

By this time, it was getting late, and Katrina had to go meet her sister, who lives in Melbourne. We walked down to Flinders St station and did the big goodbye thing. *sniffle*

Katrina and I had a great day together, and if you are thinking of meeting that cyber-friend from the chat room in person.....

GO FOR IT!
