Paint Your Wagon (1969):
During the song "The Best Things in Life are Dirty", Ben Rumson (Lee Marvin) is pulled up in a "heave-ho" style, but he rises up steadily as if being pulled up by an electric winch. Mike Walker brought up the gaffe.
The Parent Trap (1961):
While twins Sharon McKendrick and Susan Evers (both played by Hayley Mills) are singing "Let's Get Together", the shadow of the little statue in the background disappears then reappears again.
The Peacemaker (1997):
The first time Julia Kelly (Nicole Kidman) and Thomas Devoe (George Clooney) arrive in Vienne to meet their contact, Julia is wearing a raincoat, a skirt and pale high-heeled shoes. They talk with the man and decide to walk. When they start walking you can see she is wearing the same coat, but black pants and black boots! Elisabeth Nicol found the quick change.
Pee Wee's Big Adventure (1985):
I spotted this one years before I even knew what a cinematic slip-up was. When Pee Wee (Paul Reubens) parks his bike at the shopping center, he pulls many feet of chain from a compartment on the side of the bike. But the camera is panned too far down; you can see the chain being fed into the compartment. I am told, however, that this gaffe is only visible on the panned-and-scanned version shown on TV and video, and not on the widescreen laserdisc version or in theaters.
The People vs. Larry Flynt (1996):
When Larry Flynt (Woody Harrelson) gives Althea (Courtney Love) a ride on his wheelchair, watch her hands when he spins her around. They're both around his neck in the close-ups, but one is on his back in the long shots.
Porky's 2: The Next Day (1983):
When Wendy (Kaki Hunter) is telling Gebhardt (Edward Winter) that he had to bite the bullet while she gets her revenge at the posh Miami restaurant, you can see a microphone at the end of their table at the bottom of the screen.
Predator (1987):
Chris reports that, if you look VERRRRY closely at the Predator (Kevin Peter Hall), you can see air holes in the costume, and can even spot Hall's arms, legs, and face inside -- although it is tough.
Liam Gibbs noticed some vision problems the Predator had. His sight is based on heat, yet he can see a dead scorpion. How can a dead thing give off heat? And if that's the case, why doesn't the Predator see all the little bugs and insects in the forest?
Pretty Woman (1990):
When Vivian (Julia Roberts) and Edward (Richard Gere) are watching I Love Lucy and, um, doing other stuff, Vivian takes off Edward's tie. Richard Gray noted that it's back on briefly, then disappears again.
And, Roseann Baldassi found a problem when Vivian is eating breakfast in her hotel room. She takes a bite out of a pancake, but in the next scene the pancake is back on the plate without a bite in it.
Primal Fear (1996):
The cut over Martin Vail's (Richard Gere) right eyebrow continually appears and disappears.
Speaking of things appearing, a boom mike is visible above Martin's head as he berates his colleagues outside the courtroom.
Private Parts (1997):
When Howard Stern (as himself) plays frisbee with the "wacko" (henceforth known as FG, for Frisbee Guy, because I couldn't find his real name), watch when Howard raises FG's arm in an effort to show him how to catch the frisbee. When Howard throws the frisbee, FG's arm is raised. When the frisbee hits FG in the head, his arm is down. In a reaction shot, his arm is raised again.
Pulp Fiction (1994):
Well, with a flick this popular, there's an awful lot of slip-spotters perusing it, so I had to break out the bullets and make a list. So, here's the the flubs inside the Fiction:
Purple Rain (1984):
When Apollonia (Apollonia Kotero) gets in a cab, her hair is swept up to one side. Michael Stamas noticed that, in the next shot, her hair is swept up to the other side.
