C. L. Lassiter tells me of a dramatic scene between Erica Benton (Jill Clayburgh) and sculptor Saul Kaplan (Alan Bates) in his studio, which gets completely spoiled when the boom mike dips into view.
The Untouchables (1987):
There's a scene where Elliot Ness (Kevin Costner) and Jim Malone (Sean Connery) are talking in Jim's apartment. Steve Basford noticed that in various cuts to Jim, sometimes the top button on his collar is fastened, and sometimes it's open. No doubt Connery unbottoned it between takes for comfort and then forgot about it.
