Aren't newsgroups fun?!
On top of all that, I guess I'm a bit of a couch potato, if an active one...so basically, I watch loads of TV, but I'm not a blob : ) For some reason, my family is far more Americanised than most British families seem to be...so much so that we actually find Tim Allen funny. Although most American situation comedy is pretty formulaic (IMHO) there are a few diamonds in the rough:- for example, The Simpsons, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Frasier, Ellen, Grace Under Fire and Home Improvement are all popular viewing choices in the Russell household : ) For whatever reason, I never really liked Roseanne. I can't imagine why. Let's just say that if I ever found myself with someone as evil as her character, I'd probably fake my own death to escape..."I'll just take a walk across these slippery rocks" - Homer fakes his own death to get a day off work (approximate quote...James?)
Some non-sitcom shows that I like are Due South, Star Trek:Next Gen., WWF wrestling of course, and even a little parallel-dimension fun in the form of Sliders...and I have fond memories of Dukes of Hazzard, but it's been a long time since I've seen it : )
