Dual single barrel carbuerators feeding the 235 six through a home-made manifold, homemade split dual exhaust capped with thrush glass packs completed the farmer's enginuity. Chrome 5 spoke wheels with 60 series raised white lettered tires and a 1982 Corvette charcoal gray paint job (black at night, charcoal in the day) set it off as it rolled down the street. The bed floor was glossed oak, all four sides of the inside wall were upholstered in black tuck n' roll so that when you put the tailgate down, you had a comfy place to sit. Even leaving, it left it's mark.. bright glossy oak framed black upholstery as seen above. The interior was immaculate, and everything including the old tube radio worked. Turn the key, press the floor starter, go through the gears on the stick, open the hood vent for fresh air--every trip was an adventure. Yup, I miss this baby, too.
