  • Episode 2 Locations Finalized
    Here's an article from theforce.net, Apparently, all of the location scouting for filming the next prequel is now complete. Rick McCallum has been working diligently this summer inbetween premieres to find just the right spots for the next Episode of Star Wars. Of course, specific shots have not been mapped out without the script being finished, but the basic location and settings are set in stone. In fact, an insider quotes Jim Morris as saying that Rick McCallum has, "...locked down all his locations for Episode II even though there is no script yet."
  • Jackson: Will I have a part in Episode 2 or 3?
    In an interview with a Dutch televion that featured Natalie Portman as well as Samuel Jackson, Natalie Portman confirmed she would be returning and is looking forward in making the next two episodes while Samuel Jackson declared that he didn't know whether he will be in Episode 2 or 3
  • Neeson on Episode 2
    There was an interview with Liam Neeson by Télé 7 Jour, the most popular TV Guide in France. When he was asked 'Will Qui-Gon be back in the next 2 episodes?' He replied 'I don't have the right to tell you, but the audience will be suprise of the main characters evolution on the next episodes of Star Wars. And Qui Gon may reappear.' Hmmm...   • Gregory Hines in Episode 2
    Gregory Hines was signed for the Star Wars prequels in 1997, but was told before Episode 1 that he would not be needed. Apparantly though, he will be in the next two prequels as a character called "A-90" who receives about 10-15 minutes of screen time in Episode-2. sevaan.com
  • Turnisia in Episode 2
    Rick McCallum, producer of the Star Wars movies has arrived Sunday evening in Tunis to work on the set of the second movie of the new Georges Lucas' trilogy scheduled to begin shooting by June 2000 from a well-informed source in Tunisia. A large part of Episode 1 was shot in Southern Tunisia especially in the dusty desert of Tozeur and in the "Ksours" of Tatauoine which later gave its name to Tatooine, the planet where the story unfolds.   • Anthony Daniels on Episode 2
    Last Week, Anthony Daniels has been on Radio One's 'Newsbeat' in the UK, talking briefly about Episode 2. When he was asked about Episode 2 he joked that George would obviously have to fix the main faults in Episode I, namely the fact that C-3PO was clearly not in it enough! He then pointed out how Threepio is fully gold in Episode IV and said we will thus see how he becomes like that in the next two episodes (fairly obvious, I guess). However, the really interesting bit came as he was asked when he would next be required for shooting. In a completely serious voice he replied: "I'm keeping the second week in April free for some shooting".
  • News on Episode 2
    Here's some news from Episode-X, according to their source, this news comes from the bowels of the LucasFilm Art Department. According to them, George Lucas has asked the artists to design the following types of terrain for Episode 2:-
    - Volcanic terrain
    - Underwater terrain
    - An earthly paradise, sort of a Bespin/Naboo
    - Unseen areas on Tatooine, such as a mountainous terrain.
    Also, the source describes Anakin as looking like Luke from Episode 4, from Episode 6, or as Obi-Wan from Episode 1 (different sketches). His lightsaber is currently blue or green
  • Yoda the Master!
    George Lucas gave a live interview in a famous store called "Fnac" in Paris and it was broadcasted live through all the "Fnacs" in France. And there, George Lucas revelated that in the next Episode, we will be able to see Yoda fight. In the interview Lucas did mention that we would see Yoda fighting in one of the next prequels, but he did not specify whether we would see him fight in Episode II or Episode III.
  • Press Conference in Italy
    Rick McCallum was in Caserta, Italy (location of the Naboo palace) for the premiere of Episode I recently. He held a press conference, among the reports were:
    - Caserta will be the most important location for Episode 2. More specifically, the Queen's palace will be in the film. -The next film will be about the dark side of humans and why such a good kid can turn bad.
    - The climactic duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan will take place at the Vesuvio vulcano in Italy.
    - There will be a Sith temple in Episode 2.
    - The script isn't ready yet, but will be by the end of the year. It will be a lot darker than Episode I and will focus on Amidala and Anakin's love. Source: Prequelnews.net
  • Chancellor Valorum will not be in Episode 2
    Terrance Stamp, who played Chancellor Valorum in Episode I, stated in an interview that he won't be back for Episode 2.
  • Mace Windu, Yoda and the Millenium Falcon
    Here's something from OB2Jedi. According to him, afriend of his sister-in-law works at Skywalker ranch and she has apparently seen sketches for Episode2 showing Yoda in the Millenium Falcon with Mace Windu
  • Interesting plot...
    Episodeii.com received a letter which goes like this... 'this May I fly to New Zealand for work on the new Star Wars movie. I play a Jedi who gets cloned and killed named Colin. My character in Star Wars will be a big role if I actually get the deal. I will be cloned first. Are you familiar with the clone wars? The Jedi cannot train more recruits fast enough to battle the Sith, so they recruit Jedi's from all over to experiment in a cloning. My character is first. My clone goes bad and Obi Wan kills him. My good clone is the first kill of a Jedi by Anakin/Darth Vader.' The name of this actor is Don Lemmon and was scheduled for an audition in San Francisco next month but havent heard a word from anyone
  • Wedding in Episode 2
    Need proof that Anakin and Amidala will have a wedding in Episode 2? In the Star Wars "Trivial Pursuit" game you will notice that on the card labeled #8, the question is "What episode will feature the wedding of Anakin Skywalker and Queen Amidala?" and on the back it says "Episode II" - episodeii.com
  • Titles for Episode 2

  • Zeta Jones to be in Episode 2
    This rumour was featured on this page months ago but it came on jedinet.net Anyway, according to them, Catherine Zeta Jones (Entrapment, The Haunting and Zorro) would have a part in Episode 2.
  • Aurra Sing = Babe Fett
    I was surfing around and found this interesting article on theforce.net. It seems the art director, Doug Chiang did a sketch on Aurra Sing but referred it to as 'Babe Fett'. Cool eh? Click Here! to view the sketch.
  • Van der Beek in Episode 2?
    In an online chat with Entertainment Tonight, James van der Beek of Dawson's Creek and Varsity Blues fame was asked about the rumour of him as Anakin in Episode 2. Surprisingly, he said, "I can neither confirm nor deny that report. Best way of saying that." hmmm.. interesting is it not?
  • Unconfirmed: The return of Greedo?
    Maria De Aragon, who played Greedo in A New Hope, has been confirmed as signing on for Episode II, probably to play the same role. This could be just another rumour as we all know casting has not even begun yet. sirsteveguide.com
