Rumours VII
- Jonathan Jackson and
Episode 2
Forget about the onscreen battles that will take place in the next Star
Wars prequel (due in theaters in 2002) the off-screen jockeying for
the role of Anakin Skywalker is shaping up to be just as entertaining.
A recent Newsweek article maintains that former General Hospital whiz
kid Jonathan Jackson is in like flint, but Jackson tells next week's
issue of ABC Soaps In Depth that "obviously it's not a done deal since
I haven't even met with them. I don't presume anything, and I don't
think any assumptions should be made about any of it. I didn't hear
any of it until [the Newsweek item] came out, so I had nothing to do
with it." -episodeii.com
- Interior
of Owen Lars' home measured
Here's something from an insider in theforce.net, I received news
from the Sidi Driss Hotel in Matmata/Tunisia (the place where the Interior
of Owen Lars' home was filmed for ANH). An American crew recently came
to measure the entire building. Every single detail was measured. No
reason was given for their visit, but obvious speculation would suggest
to recreate a duplicate set of the Lars home.
- Ralph Fiennes in Episode
2?
This is as yet unconfirmed, but it seems that casting has indeed begun,
and the first reports are very interesting. It would seem that Ralph
Fiennes is set to play a major character in Episode2...that of the future
Grand Moff Tarkin, who apparently will appear as a comander in charge
of the development of the first Star Destroyer. jedinet.com
- Casting Toyah Wilcox?
A TV presenter from a Sunday morning religous show on BBC1, 'Heaven
and Earth' let slip that she was in LA last month doing a few jobs,
one of which was an audition for a part in Episode II. The presenters
name is Toyah Wilcox. She had a former career as a pop singer in the
early 80's (very bad) and was also in the film 'Quadrophenia'. She also
narrates the TV show 'Teletubbies'. The mind boggles as to what George
has in mind. jedinet.com
- Queen Amidala, Star
Wars babe of the Millenium!
According to the E2W Millenium Poll, Queen Amidala is voted as the Star
Wars babe of the millenium with 56%. Coming in close with 24% is Princess
Leia. This month E2W will be bringing you Millenium Poll III, 'Jedi
Knight of the Millenium'. To vote, please scroll down to the bottom
right of the page.
- Informer report of
Episode 2
Episode 2 will be a story of conflicts. There are a great many of them
from what I know so far. Anakin's conflict with the Dark Side of the
Force being the most prominent. Others include a conflict between Gardulla
the Hutt and Jabba the Hutt on Tatooine; a conflict between Anakin and
Obi-Wan; Anakin and the Jedi-Council; the Senate and Palpatine; Amidala
and Anakin; Yoda and Obi-Wan. There are a countless number. Episode-X

- Lucas: Still Writing
Episode 2
George Lucas had an interview with Leonard
Maltin, here's an part of the interview:-
Leonard
Maltin: Where do you stand right now on 'Episode 2?'
George Lucas: I'm still writing the script. I was supposed to
be finished by Thanksgiving but I'm not, so I'm a little behind. As
long as I get it finished by February or March, I'll be okay. We start
shooting in June. It's always a struggle -- it's a lot of hard work.
I'm not into doing hard work. Even if it's something I like and enjoy,
I still put it off as long as I can. Mostly, I've been doing research
-- which means reading books and watching movies. (both laugh) -episodeii.com
- Spenser not in Episode
2
Jessie Spencer, of Neighbours
fame, was on Live and Kicking this morning (An English early
morning programme) and quoted he is not in line to play Anakin. So all
rumours are false. episodeii.com
- Darth Vader, Baddie
of the Millenium

Wars Baddie of the Millenium' with 41%. Coming in second is Episode

the page) This time, Star Wars Babe of the Millenium!

- Ray Park: It's Finnished
The November issue of Wizard: The Guide to Comics featured an interview
with Ray Park. Among the many questions, he was asked regarding Darth
Maul's return.
Wizard: There are rumours you may Highlight to read: be returning
as a clone in the upcoming films. Any Truth?
Ray Park: I really don't know, to be quiet honest. You do tend to
think George might change his mind at the end, maybe from the response
he got from the fans. But I've got no idea, really. At the moment, in
my mind, I'm just telling myself that's it. I'm finished. But if George
asked me, that'd be real nice.
