| Örestad, Free city of (Anon) Extensive attacks from Jutland Go-gangs has been repelled by the Freedom Guard of the Örestad council. Why the gangs attacked is still uncertain, but a shortage of petrochemicals due to a busted smuggling ring, may be the reason for the attacks. The Wall of Steel was never breeched in any of the attacks, but the Council fears that they were only probe attacks, to test the defences, and decree that a general mobilization of a citizen force has to be done very shortly. Mayor Jens Jensen hopes that the gangs find the safety measures to be more than adequate. Shadowrunners have been hired to find out more about the upcoming attack.
Donk, Freelancer Visby, ScanFed (POP) The principal city on Gotland has received a pettiton from the international Mercenary force, the Viking Brigade, to allow them to set up an air defence unit to keep ScanFed drones and fightes from making fly-overs over the city. In return, the Viking Brigade would get permission to take up tax from the citizens, for upkeep of the armed force and the establishment of a more coherent government. Rudolph Reeb the mayor of Visby, claims that the pettition is nothing less than blackmail, but has little choice but to comply. More information is forthcoming.
Guten, Freelance Trondheim, ScanFed (POP) A succesful demonstration by the Loyalist movement happened today at the visit of the King and Queen. A truck filled with pink paint exploded near the Nidarosdome while the Royal couple passed. No one was injured in the carefully designed explosion, but all the aristos and bureaucrats were doused in hard-to-clean pink paint. The truck was picked to pieces by the SePo, but no sign or even a DNA sample was to be found, just a short message from the Loyalists. 'MacGyver was here'. The Queen, who is in grocess, was crying as she was ushered away from the scene. The repercussions may be heard for weeks, and the Ransom of this MacGyver has risen to nearly 2 million ScanCrowns.

Narvik, Lappland (Saami Press) Lapp scientists have made a breakthrough in the search for nanites that will disassemble toxic molecules and transform it into harmless atoms. The nanites, called 'gobblers' can be programmed to take apart any molecule, but to disassemble carbon atoms could be used as a lethal weapon, and therefore prohibited by the Saami Science Council. Lars Matti, the head scientist, says that the prototype nanites are kept safe in the Nanotech Lab in Narvik, and will not be in danger of getting loose.
Noumi Sarri - Saami Press Stockholm, ScanFed (POP) A Police cordon was set up covering the exits from Stockholm and all public transportations were halted, and searched. The authorities is stonewalling the media as to the reason for the action. Unofficial sources point out that a German citizen and his Scandinavian wife were arrested. The talk on the streets is that the pair carried several stolen plans from the Scandinavian Space Administration, but still no official sources can confirm that. The penalty for crimes against the nation is severe, and both of them risk ending up before a firing squad within the end of the month.
Skorpan - Freelance Riga, Russia (TASS) Russian security forces raided a warehouse in central Riga, taking several prisoners, and killing several more. The action was a response to a kidnapping of the wife of a senior military officer, that was found dead by her husband after he had paid the ransom. The warehouse is reputed to belong to a section of Vory n Zakone, the Russian mob. Similar actions have occurred throughout the Province of Latvia, and more action will come. The mob has great influence in Riga and several border villages. They also have connections in Germany and in Scandinavia, and of course in countries bordering to the asian provinces
