I dream a sleepless dream,

one filled with peace and truth.

Innocence flashes before me,

experiences from my youth.

I relive past encounters,

from days that have gone by.

People and places surround me,

still not seeing them with my open eye.

I realize what is occurring,

doing this for my own sake.

For I now know,

You are the growing sensation that keeps me awake. You are the love, the feeling, the warmth I keep just for my own sake.

You are the one I adore and who I cannot do without. For everyday with you removes all doubt.

The sun that comes gently from your eyes. The words flowing from your lips never containing lies.

For things are ever so simple when you are with me. The way we like it and the way it will be.

Look into my eyes and smile into my face. You are the one I could never replace.

To appreciate the discovery of love

To know the tragedy of love lost

To know and feel the art of emotion through prose and poetry

To have an understanding of how to warm it in my own way with my own words and thoughts

To put a smile on their faces as well as the world's in an intelligent way

To keep me from enjoying myself and not just letting out a grunt
