When buses were dissapearing after leaving the temple, Ami and Usagi investgated. When they leave, Luna leaves a henshin pen. Later, Jadeite appeared (he had been the one behind the dissapearances), and threw Rei into a vortex or something. Usagi managed to get in as well, and Rei was discovered to be Sailormars.

Through the series, Rei acts very harshly towards Usagi, but is in fact her closest friend. For a short while, Rei dated Mamoru, but there was nothing serious between them. Rei was especially shocked to find out that Usagi was Princess Serenity.

When the Senshi went to the North Pole, Mars was the final one to defend Sailormoon. She did this willingly, and managed to kill the last two DD Girls. She gave her power to Serenity to destroy Beryl, and was reborn when Beryl was dead.

Rei regained her powers with Ami, Makoto and Minako when Sailormoon needed help in the new battles. When a song Rei had written was destroyed by a Cardian, Mars used her new power to destroy it.

Agsint the Ayakashi Sisters, Mars was pitted agaisnt Cooan. Mars saw the good in her, and helped her become healed into a normal human being. Mars, like the other girls, later lent her power to Serenity to defeat the Death Phantom.

One day, Rei began having visions of the other girls being turned to stone, and a large dark power destroying the city. It turns out to be visions of the Silence, and the new threat. Soon after, Rei's heart crystal was taken. Later, Mars used her power to keep daimons out of a building, and to help Usagi turn into Supersailormoon.

When the Senshi fought Nepherenia, Mars was teamed up with Sailorneptune, where you can tell there is a contrast in beliefs. When a Mirror Parody trapped Neptune, Mars tried to attack it, but it pulled Neptune closer. Neptune tols Mars to shoot, and after thinking, Mars did. Neptune jerked out of the way, and the Parody was killed. Mars and Neptune then collapsed and were trapped in mirrors, and were later freed by Sailormoon.

Rei was also excited when the Three Lights came to Tokyo. Even though she attended a different high school, she was often found at Juuban, causing the girls to jump when she'd pop out.

Mars was the last to be killed by Galaxia, and was returned when Galaxia was healed. Her last scene is with the other Inners saying goodbye to the Starlights.

Sailormoon (and up)

Rin, pyou, tou, sha, kai, jin, retsu, sai, zen. Akuryou taisan - Rei or Mars shout this and throw a scroll at a monster. It means "Evil spirits, be gone!" This can freeze monsters, un-posess people, etc.

Mars Power, Make Up - Rei says this to transform into Sailormars.

Fire Soul - Mars clasps her hands and sends a firebal swirling towards her target.

Sailormoon R (and up)

Fire Soul Bird - Mars says this and sends a bird of fire towards her target. This was only used once.

Mars Star Power, Make Up - This is Rei's second transformation into Sailormars.

Burning Mandala - Mars said this to send dozens of fire rings flying at her target.

Sailormoon SuperS (and up)

Mars Crystal Power, Make Up - Rei says this to become Supersailormars.

Mars Flame Sniper - Mars says this to shoot a flame arrow at her target.
