So You're New To Sailormoon...?

So, if you're here, you must be new to the original Sailormoon. Here you should be able to learn enough to begin to understand the Japanese version of the show. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Unlike the DIC version, there are 5 seasons:
    Sailormoon
    Sailormoon Romance (R)
    Sailormoon Super (S)
    Sailormoon SuperS
    Sailormoon Sailorstars (Stars)

  • In Japan, famliy names are written first. Example: Serena's Japanese name is Usagi, and her last name is Tsukino. However, it is written as Tsukino Usagi.

  • Please don't call them Scouts. In the original version, the Sailors are Senshi, which means soldier or warrior.

  • The Senshi names are written as one word. Example: Sailorvenus not Sailor Venus.

  • There is no Negaverse. The villains here are from different places.
