Long ago, on the Moon Kingdom, lived Princess Serena. She lived with her mother Queen Serenity, and was in love with Prince Darien of Earth...
One night Queen Beryl and the Negaforce attacked the kingdom. Its four guardians (Sailors Mewrcury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus) were defeated, and so were Serena and Darien. In a last desperate attempt to save her kingdom, Queen Serenity used the Silver Crystal to seal everyone inside of it and send them to Earth. The Queen then died, and told her advisors Luna and Artemis to find Serena an defeat the Negaverse...

200 years later, Serena resucued Luna from some small kids, and Luna later told her she was Sailor Moon. She met, and fell in love with Tuxedo Mask, a mysterious warriors, and found an enemy named Darien. The duo later found Sailors Mars, Mercury and Jupiter, then joined up with Sailor Venus and Artemis.
The Negaverse, in the meantime, was looking for energy to restore the Negaforce, their key weapon to controlling the Universe. Later, after two generals failed, they decided to look for the seven Rainbow Crystals, which would form the Silver Crystal when formed together.
The seven crystals were brought together, and revealed Serena to be the princess. But Beryl kidnapped Darien, and brainwashed him. Later on, the five scouts made their way to the North Pole and each got captured. But with the power of team work, they managed to destroy Beryl and bring peace back to the planet. They did, however, loose their memories...

A little while later, a strange meteor crashed on Earth. Two aliens (Ann and Alan) resided on it, and they made their way through the city, looking for energy for their "Doom Tree," a large tree that occupies a room of their apartment. The aliens diguise themselves as humans to keep the ruse going, and Ann fell in love with Darien. Alan fell in love also, with Serena. Tuxedo Mask wasn't seen for a while, and the Moonlight Knight appeared. After many battles, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus gained new powers with the help of the Knight.
Serena and Darien stumbled onto the Doom Tree by accident, and were forced to battle the aliens. The Scouts came, but Ann was killed by the Doom Tree. It then told them it was actually the Tree of Life, but its children had gone bad and killed each other. Alan and Ann were the only ones left. It then asked Sailor Moon to rid it of all the evil, and Sailor Moon destroyed it. The Moonlight Knight revealed himself to be Darien's fighting spirit, then it went back inside of him.Ann was restored, and a small seed appeared. They vowed to raise it with peace and love, then flew off into space.

Later, a small girl fell from the sky and landed on Serena's head. She called herself Reeny and demanded for the Silver Crystal, and then hypnotised Serena's family, making them think she was their cousin. It didn't work with Serena, however. Reeny slowly reales things about her pas,t and often tries to go "home" with a small key around her neck. Also, using her Luna-P (a small ball that looks like Luna) she talks to a mysterious person.
A group of villains also followed Reeny. They're looking for the crystal as well. Each of the team mebers turns to the side of good, and their leader is killed. It is revealed that Reeny is really from the future, and a new group of villains arrives to try and get energy.

Reeny suddenly falls ill, and talks in her sleep aboutt the Grim Man. The Scouts are worried when a woman shows up and calls herself Sailor Pluto. She tells them they must go into Reeny's mind and defeat the Grim Man. The Scouts also learn that Reeny's true name is Small Lady, and that her mother is in trouble.

Meanwhile, the Negamoon is getting closer to their goal, and then they corrupt Reeny, turning her into Wicked Lady, a powerful warrior who hates the Scouts.

But still the Scouts manage to get Reeny back to the side of good, and they defeat the Negamoon. Reeny then goes back to her home in the future.
