Hi guys:

Finally, after weeks of lousy episodes, a good show.

It opened with Michael examining Amanda for any injuries she might have sustained in her fall through the window. This was quite unusual because Michael seldom examines women while they're fully clothed. Anyway, he told Peter that Amanda was lucky. There were no broken bones or internal injuries. She also wasn't cut by the glass.

Ryan and Megan arrived at the hospital and Kyle told them the story. Megan said he looked like he could use some coffee. I think he could have used a shot of whiskey; after all, he hadn't graduated from rehab yet.

And I think hospitals ought to have a full bar in the lobby. Expectant fathers would have a place to hang while waiting. Heck, even ER patients could have a drink or two while waiting for treatment. There would be a big screen TV, video games and a dart board with syringes as darts. Oh, and cocktail waitresses in skimpy nurse outfits. Hey, I'd be sick all the time.

Now what was I talking about? Oh, yeah. The show...

Peter informed Kyle that Amanda was indeed pregnant but she lost the baby in the fall. This was her second miscarriage (she lost Billy's baby way back when). Which isn't unusual because anybody who watches Highlander knows that immortals can't have children.

Eve confronted Peter about his alleged affair with Amanda and fathering her baby. Michael overheard her tirade. Which led to the line of the week. Michael said, " At least when I fool around, I use protection." That's mighty noble of him. I'm sure the rubber industry is eternally thankful.

Peter went to tell Amanda about her losing the baby. She said the last time she was in there she couldn't move her legs. Remember the helicopter crash? She survived that too.

Feeling depressed, Eve called her ex-con buddy, Jackie. They probably had lesbian sex while in prison. I'm almost sure about this because in every midnight Showtime movie I see with women in prison, they're always having lesbian sex.

Eve went to see Jackie, who lived on a boat. No one warned Eve that boats are bad news on The Place. Jo, Lexi and Megan were almost killed on a boat. Eve told Jackie that she blew off her parole officer and that Jackie should do the same. Eve said she's got some money and that they should cruise the islands.

Where did she get money from? She only performed a couple of times with Rikki G's band. Kyle must be paying pretty good. And if so, I should have learned to play the guitar. I should have learned to play them drums. Maybe get a blister on my little finger. Maybe get a blister on my thumb.

To get the scoop on Ryan's previous relationships, Lexi said that she's got a perspective client that he was once engaged to. She tricked him into revealing the names of the three, count 'em three, women he was engaged to after she swore she wouldn't tell Megan. Which we know she will.

Peter, Michael and Jane were searching for clues as to where Eve might have gone. Well, Peter and Jane were. Michael was too busy studying Eve's bra. A messenger delivered a package containing the videotape of Michael and Audrey's coupling.

Peter played the tape. Jane was aghast. Which led to another good line by Michael. He said he did it, but he didn't enjoy it. Yeah, right. She demanded a divorce. Again.

In addition to keeping the tape Peter demanded the $2,000,000 check back. Free porn just wasn't enough.

I'm wondering why Audrey didn't try to get more money out of Michael before sending Peter the tape.

On the boat, Eve and Jackie were all drunk and giddy. Seemed like the perfect time for lesbian sex. But nooooo. They just looked over charts to plan their cruise to Mexico.

But just how does an ex-con afford a boat? Making license plates must be paying pretty good. And if so, I'm going to go out tomorrow and get caught knocking off a bank dressed like Santa.

Nah. One of the drawbacks of prison is anal rape. I'm almost sure about this because in every prison movie I see, there's always anal rape.

Sensing that Eve didn't really want to leave Peter, Jackie went to see him. She told him she was on her boat and he'd better hurry to see her. What was Eve going to do, sail off on her own? Did she learn boating in prison between license plates?

Lexi flew to New York and arranged a meeting with all of Ryan's ex-fiancés. Turned out they all proposed to him. But once engaged, he booked. Why couldn't he have just said no?

Peter went to the boat and asked Eve to come home. Eve apologized for everything she said and they kissed and made up. Bygones. I love when Fish does that on Ally McBeal.

Michael went to Peter and pleaded his case. He explained he had to scam the hospital and order to pay back the $100,000 he swiped from the Children's Fund. After saying he'll pay it all back, Peter forgave him. Bygones. He let him keep his job.

Now just how is Michael supposed to pay back everyone? He couldn't pay back the original $100,000. Now he's also short the $300,000 he had to give Audrey.

Eve ran into Kyle in the courtyard. She told him she didn't believe that Peter and Amanda had an affair. Kyle wasn't convinced. He said he was going back to Boston. What's he going to do? Look up Big Lips and help raise Michael's child? The child she bore the one time Michael didn't use protection when he fooled around.

Kyle went to the hospital to tell Amanda he was taking the red-eye back to Boston. He presented her the deed to the jazz club and said wanted a divorce. They could fly to the Dominican Republic to get a quickie divorce just like they did when Amanda divorced Peter and Kyle divorced Taylor.

As part of her ploy to break up Ryan and Megan and armed with the knowledge that being engaged to Ryan is the kiss of death, Lexi urged Megan to get a commitment from him. Knowing Ryan can't commit, why would Lexi still want to hook up with him?

Investigating Amanda's immaculate conception, Peter went to the VA hospital to see Kyle's sperm test results. Something he should have done ages ago. He finally found out the report was botched.

He presented the results to Amanda. He told her she's got to show it to Kyle ASAP. Amanda said it's too late. He's heading back to Boston and she doesn't even know which airline. But Peter's hobby is memorizing flight schedules so he knew. And as chief of staff, he ordered the hospital helicopter to jet her over.

Um, doesn't Amanda remember what happened the last time she got into a helicopter? Not to worry. She's immortal.

Michael went to apologize to Jane. Bygones, NOT. She wouldn't forgive him even though he promised to go to meetings of compulsive sex anonymous. Going to meetings with equally horny women, that would be helpful. Sounds to me like a good place to find a date. Sign me up!

Jane said she was moving out. She bought back the beach house. I wonder if the agent that Michael slept with brokered the deal.

The helicopter was granted clearance by the control tower to land right next to Kyle's airplane. The air traffic controllers knew just how vital it was for Amanda to get to Kyle. Amanda was able to see and stop Kyle from getting on the plane because he boarded from the tarmac and not from one of those accordian thingies that normally connect the terminal to the plane.

She showed him the results. They kissed and made up. Bygones.

That's it for this week's episode.

Tune in next week for "Unpleasantville." The spoiler is posted on my site.

Also new there is an article about Doug Savant's next project. He'll star with Mariel Hemingway in First Daughter, a thriller about a Secret Service agent and a river guide trying to track the President's kidnapped daughter.

Jamie Luner bought a $640,000 house in Studio City. That must have been quite a lucrative contract she signed with the WB.

Janet Charleton, columnist for The Star, reported on the E! Gossip Show that Heather Locklear might be joining the cast of Beverly Hills 90210. Who's she going to play? Matt's mother?

And finally, if you're in LA next Sunday, go to Paramount Studios to check out some Place stars participate in the Sara Lee/Ralph Run For Youth children's fund. Keep an eye on Thomas Calabro. He might try to pilfer the proceeds.

Read 'em all at http://geocities.datacellar.net/Hollywood/4616/.

'Til next week...

Stan
