COMEBACK
Heather Locklear returns
to TV hotter than ever

Heather Locklear, 41, is headed for television again. The former Spin City actress, who guest-starred on Scrubs last November, has been cast in the NBC pilot Once Around the Park. Locklear will play a divorced mom of two kids, but although the plot sounds cliché, NBC Entertainment President Jeff Zucker is quick to point to the series unique twist: "The kids are trying to keep the divorced parents apart [rather than seek a reconciliation]," he explains.
Watch for Locklear on the big screen, too. She'll play Dakota Fanning's mother in the upcoming Brittany Murphy film Molly Gunn. The actress is also set to appear as Dusty Tails in the part-animated feature Looney Tunes: Back in Action.
Ironically, Locklear, who became a household name by playing troublemaking Sammy Jo on Dynasty and ruthless Amanda on Melrose Place, has a reputation for being incredibly nice. "You can't help but feel she's someone you know and trust," says David Rosenthal, one of Spin City's executive producers, "even when one of her characters is stabbing someone in the back."

I read somewhere that Dusty Tails is a lounge singer. I wonder if Heather did her own singing.
