LISA RINNA
(ex-Taylor, MELROSE PLACE; ex-Billie, DAYS)
     A few years ago, Lisa Rinna had a very bad dream. She and her husband, Harry Hamlin, were good friends with actress Jennifer Grant (daughter of Dyan Cannon and Cary Grant), and one night, "I had a nightmare that Harry and Jennifer were having an affair," Rinna confesses. "We would be at a dinner or a party [after that], and they would go off and talk - like normal. But because I'd had that dream, I'd be like, 'Look, they're having an affair because they're off talking!'" The uncomfortable feelings festered until Rinna couldn't contain her fears any longer. "One night we were having dinner, just the girls, and I confessed to Jennifer, 'Look, I've been having this nightmare. I just have to say it: I feel like Harry and you are having an affair. Are you?' And she was like, 'Oh, my God, that was so brave of you to say that. But of course not!'"
     About a year later, the three were hanging out when Lisa turned to Jennifer and said, "You and Harry should do a pilot; you should work together." A few weeks later, Hamlin and Grant booked The WB sitcom MOVIE STARS, playing a hot Hollywood couple. "So I did it," Rinna jokes. "I created the whole thing."
     Oddly enough, Rinna says she had no interest whatsoever in playing wife to her husband on-screen. "I was very pregnant at the time," she says. "Besides, I don't think anyone should act out their life on television. That, to me, is too close to home."
     Close to home is where Rinna has been ever since the birth of daughter Delilah Belle last March. "It's made me much more mature," the says of motherhood. "Much more grounded and thoughtful - and not so self-involved, to be really honest. It opens your heart, and not just to your child but to everybody. I think we all have a tendency when we're in our 20s [to believe] it's all about you. All of a sudden, you have this child, and you find out that there's so much more. It's a beautiful, beautiful thing."
     Speaking of beautiful things, taking a look at Rinna's svelte physique, it's hard to believe that she gave birth less than a year ago. "I've been doing yoga since I had the baby," she reveals, adding that while you may see her in late-night ads for Taebo, she hasn't taken a class since two weeks after Delilah's birth. "It's great, but I've moved on," she explains. "I love yoga."
     Right now, she'd be happy to slip into a new role, but don't look for her to return to MELROSE PLACE or DAYS OF OUR LIVES. "It was a great run," she says of MP. Does she miss her days on DAYS? "I don't miss anything," she stresses. "I never miss anything. I loved that time, but that time was that time. I'm very fond of that experience and those people."
     She would, however, consider a guest-starring role on MOVIE STARS. "I think that would be fun," she grins. "I'd want to play Jennifer's sister. I'll create that one in my dreams, too."
