MELROSE PLACE STEVE WILDER (Alex Bastion): Wilder (ex-Jack, DAYS) will play a fashion designer involved with Jane (Josie Bissett) for eight episodes. What kind of guy is Alex? The majority of articles seem to say that Wilder's character would be named "Alex." I guess we can discount the Globe article I previously posted which said his character would be named "James."
I remember John Haymes Newton from his days in the Saturday morning series Superboy as the title character. Incidentally, Stacy Haiduk, who was the second actress to portray Colleen, the mother of Jake's child, also starred with John on Superboy. She played Lana Lang.
