While fans will be reeling from the news of Austin Peck's exit as Austin on DAYS OF OUR LIVES, the big question on their minds once the news sets in is: What will happen to Austin Reed?
     And what will happen to Sami? Will he leave her at the altar? Will she realize that she can't get Brandon out of her system? Or does his true love Carrie return? All of these would make interesting soap watching. If Peck's departure was a money-saving decision, it seems that the role of Austin would not be recast. But there is the possibility that Patrick Muldoon may be returning to the role he originated. Also, Billie Reed, Austin's sister, may also be returning in the form of the star who originated that role, Lisa Rinna. She was quoted in TV Guide Online saying talks with DAYS were in the works (as is a talk show on SoapNet). Insiders on the DAYS set are still whispering that Christie Clark may be returning as Sami's big sister Carrie very soon.
